In this session we will introduce the guidance from the Department of Education as it relates to defining Online Learning. This revised guidance focuses on “Regular and Substantive Interaction” (RSI) as a way of distinguishing online courses from correspondence courses. We will discuss how other institutions and accrediting bodies are interpreting this guidance and look at ways to ensure our online courses are in compliance.
