Join us for an exploration of Gale’s newest primary source archive. Disabilities in Society, Seventeenth to Twentieth Century provides ample historical evidence demonstrating how society has interacted with and regarded individuals considered to have disabilities. Within this collection you will find material demonstrating how people with disabilities have worked for equal rights through activism and advocacy and gain access to first-hand experiences through memoirs, letters and more. Also included in this archive are papers, pamphlets, manuscripts, books, research materials, and more which delve into institutional treatment from a medical humanities perspective. This webinar will showcase the content of this archive and review navigational tools and features of the online interface.
